For as long as I can remember, I've been attracted to Feathers, Shells, Indian History and Nature's Beautiful Gifts. My attraction to shells is more of an obsession; I can not walk the beach without shelling. I have so many containers filled with so many beautiful gifts from the Ocean. including feathers dropped by gulls and pelicans.
My connection with Feathers may even be stronger. Some cultures see feathers as a gift from their Angels. Indian cultures see them as gifts to be cherished. I have also been told that when you find a feather, a loved one in heaven is thinking of you. After I retired from Nursing, I stood looking at containers filled with shells and feathers and decided it was time to take them out and turn them into something beautiful.

The night is full of both good and bad dreams. When a dream catcher is hung above the place where you sleep it moves freely in the night air and catches the dreams as they drift by.
The good dreams, knowing their way, pass through the webbing while the bad dreams, not knowing the way, are caught in the webbing and destroyed at the first light of the morning sun.
Many Tribes and Native peoples have adopted Dream Catchers into their culture. Though the designs and legends of Dream Catchers differ slightly, the underlying meaning and symbolism is universal and is carried across cultures and language barriers.
Why?
Because Everybody dreams
Made of Tree Branch Hoop, natural lacing, wood beads and wild feathers.
Beautiful Greenery accented hoop with webbing, beads and lacing with feathers
Dreamcatcher suspended from a natural branch and accented with natural twine.
I Love Dreamcatchers.
I Love the story they tell.
I Love the Nature they portray.
But I also realize that not everyone wants their piece of art to be made of bark.
So...if you have an idea of what you would like, give me a call or email me and we will make your piece of art together.
The Hoop can be made of a Natural Wood Branch cut from the wooded area behind my house.
This one happens to be 19 inches long and 8 inches wide & is very rugged in appearance. This one would be used to make a traditional Indian looking Dreamcatcher.
They, of course, can be made smaller.
The Hoop can be made of a 9 inch or 12 inch
Wood Blend Wreath Hoop
The Hoop can be made of a metal hoop of silver or gold or green that can either be left as shown or covered with yarn or jute.
The silver hoop shown is 7 1/2 inches but can be smaller.
The gold hoop shown is 10 inches.
The green hoop shown is 12 inches & it is recommended that this one be covered with a layer of yarn or jute.
The Hoop can be a triple hoop that needs to be covered with yarn and creates a wide hoop for your Dreamcatcher.
The Recipe is yours to create.
The webbing can be woven with hemp cord or cotton thread or yarn.
The webbing can also be created with a white or cream colored Doily.
If you have a Doily treasure from a loved-one, you can send it to me and I'll use it in your Dreamer.
Optional Ingredients.
The hoop can be accented with a silk flower or flowers and/or greenery.
Further ingredients.
The beads are pony beads and are available in numerous colors as well as wooden or clear crystal like.
The Recipe is yours to create.
The laces that hang from the Dreamcatcher can be microfiber faux leather suede and/or yarn and/or ribbons.
The feathers can be white goose feathers from a cruelty-free farm, brown feathers found on the ground or others of your choice.
Make Mine Vegan Please
I am happy to help you create a Vegan Dreamer, which would be free of feathers.
The Above is one very special way to personalize your own Dream Catcher.
This is one I'm doing for myself.
It is a Doily from my Grandma.
I've attached it to a metal hoop that I covered with white jute. It's a work in progress. I'm still thinking about the recipe...
...what other ingredients I'll add.
If you have a doily that's been handed down to you from a loved one and want to do more than just sit it on a table, contact me & lets discuss how we can make it into a special Dreamer.
This is where the Dream Drop Bush Grows.
It begins in the beautiful Fern Gully behind my house.
I hand pick the branches..
I remove the leaves.
I slowly bend and form the Drop Shape and twine in place.
I weave the webbing into the Dream Drop, add beads and feathers.
I am happy to create a Vegan Dream Drop without Feathers.
Who says Key Chains have to be boring?
Carry a little Dreamer with you
All Designed and hand created by me.
We love Animals. The lacing that I use for my Dreamers is either yarn, cotton string, natural twine or faux leather.
The Feathers are either found by myself or purchased from a cruelty - free company.
~
But, if you prefer, I will create a Dreamcatcher for you without feathers.
